This Year in Life Teen
Life Nights will include:
The Mass. We will look at what is happening during Mass and how our Church, founded by Jesus, allows us to encounter the divine and human elements of the Living Christ.
The Church. We will be looking at the Church founded by Christ through the Apostles and sustained by Him through the Holy Spirit. We will also look at the purpose of the Church so that we encounter the Living Jesus Christ and dicover our role in the Chruch is vital through evangelization and service.
The Paschal Mystery semester focuses on all that God has done for us through his Son, Jesus Christ. We will learn of God's plan from the beginning of creation for our eternal happiness through the Redemption Christ won for us and further discover what it means to be and live as a disciple of Christ.
Safe environment session is the diocesan required curriculum for Protecting God’s Children. We intended to discuss relationships and enhance communication of sexuality in the family.
LIFE TEEN Breaks Bread before each gathering
Each Life Night and Confirmation Session begins with a meal. At the present time Life Teen will be providing the meal. Times and amount of preparation/cleanup varies. Please contact Norma in the parish office with questions or suggestions for meals catered or purchased.
Frozen Cuppa Joe (Formerly Milkshakes on Monday)
During June and July at 6:30 pm in the St. Gregory the Great Room, High School and middle schoool youth will gather to have a milk shake and discussion. Frozen Cuppa Joe is a Gospel reflection with relevance to young people. Enter through the office doors on Wednesdays. See you there.
We will not meet July 3rd.
National Catholic Youth Conference
National Catholic Youth Conference was held November 21-24, in Indianapolis. St. Joseph teens and chaperones gathered with over 20,000 other Catholics from all over the United States. We served those in who experience hunger, participated in many different prayer exercises, participated in Mass with different bishops and heard some awesome speakers and musicians from all over. It was a moving experience for all. We are very thankful to all the parishioners who supported individual teens, and the pilgrim team through donations and fundraisers. We could have never had such a close group without everyone's help.
Ask a teen or chaperone in the picture below about our experience, we have a lot to say! Thank you again for your support in the past. If you would like to attend NCYC in 2021 keep your eyes open for fundraisers! Please pray that the Holy Spirit keeps the fire burning for all those teens and chaperones that attended!
